Chile! Joe Budden seems to be extra positive that Drake and Kendrick Lamar have disses locked and loaded for each other. In a circulating clip on X from Joe’s podcast, Budden claimed that sources confirmed both men stepped into the booth and came out with nuclear-level clapbacks.
Budden claimed he’s spoken to real rappers about what the two artists have been up to. Fans have been waiting for a musical response from Drizzy to Kendrick’s shots on Future and Metro Boomin’s ‘Like That’ track.
While he said a lil’ something something during his tour, Drake hasn’t addressed the trio head-on. But, according to Joe, that’s about to change!
“I think that the insiders know…actually, I have it on good information that both sides went in the booth and came out. And what I’m hearing about both sides is that it’s nuclear. It’s up up. I’m hearing this from people that can rap. So I want to came in here and say that speculation time is over. Debate time is over.”
Joe added that he heard it’s “bad,” but he wouldn’t discuss a potential release date for either artist.
Joe also implied that this is the reason J. Cole issued an apology to Kendrick Lamar on Sunday (April 8) during his Dreamville Fest. As previously reported, Cole walked back the shots he took at Lamar on the song ‘7 Minute Drill.’ His on-stage apology came just two days after the track’s release.
“…Whatever little rappy sh*t you thought was going on, it’s not that. And something is coming. I think that J. Cole knows that from either Kendrick or Drake or both and it was time to bow out because now we are no longer in the first round. We are no longer in the first or second round of this thing,” Budden claimed.
Cole claimed that going at his brother like that didn’t settle right in his spirit. But Joe Budden alleges that the ‘Might Delete Later’ artist just doesn’t want to get involved in the forthcoming diss-off.

Meanwhile, Ari Lennox is trending on social platforms after coming for Joe Budden’s neck on Instagram Story. The singer and rapper-turned-podcaster have been at odds before, mainly due to his past critiques of her artistry and her reactions to public criticism.
In January of this year, she called Budden out for name-dropping her on his self-titled podcast and accused him of being “weird…gross” and “obsessed” with her.
It seems her latest clapback is due to similar reasons. On Wednesday (April 10), Ari went viral for posting a throwback video of rapper Consequence punching Joe in the head from behind. Lennox shared the clip 24 times on her IG Story, per The Shade Room. She also sauced up the post with some insults targeting Joey.
“Knocked your little glasses off and everything. Keep my precious name out of your psychotic, animal abusing, women terrorizing, demonic, trolling, nicotine encased mouth. All this meth smoke for a woman but not for any man beating your a** in real life. Bald b***h!”
