We all knew the time would come when rapper Jim Jones would do an interview following being outed by the currently incarcerated Tekashi 6ix9ine during his ongoing trial—and if you were expecting some explosive comments, you are definitely in for a letdown.
During a recent appearance on the popular syndicated radio morning show “The Breakfast Club,” Jim Jones stopped by to chat—but of course, the hot topic on everyone’s mind was his response to Tekashi name-dropping him during his testimony a few weeks ago. Jim’s first remarks were, “You got me nervous up here,” acknowledging that the line of questioning was about to go down a road he didn’t want to discuss.
After talking about his new album, “El Chapo,” he described as:
“One thing I noticed is everyone doing the same thing. This is something I chose to do consciously. I’m going to make some great music whether the new millennials like it or not.”
Then he dives into a brief discussion regarding his music rivals both past and present, including 50 Cent, saying:
“Where I’m from, I do know people we call real n***as or stand up men don’t try to tarnish other people’s names with bulls**t antics. There’s consequences and repercussions to things like that, at least where I’m from.”
Then it’s time for the big question about Tekashi and Jim Jones said…absolutely nothing, only offering a simple “I have no comment on none of that.” If you think about it, declining to comment on such a high-profile case where he was implicated in some pretty serious allegations is probably the best decision.
Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
