As Joe Biden celebrated his victories from Super Tuesday, he talked to a crowd of his supporters in California and there were a few protesters that tried to interrupt his speech as they rushed the stage. However, his wife Jill Biden was right by his side and helped to stop the protesters from touching him. His campaign senior adviser Symone Sanders also jumped in to help remove the protesters.
Right before the moment occurred, Joe said to the crowd, “It’s a good night. It’s a good night. It seems to be getting better. They don’t call it Super Tuesday for nothing.”
After the protesters were removed from the stage, Jill reassured that they were okay.
According to CNN, Jill has been about that life, and this is not the first time she has sprung into action when it comes to protesters that have gotten out of hand. Last month, a man reportedly approached Joe at his lectern at a New Hampshire rally. Jill left her seat and joined others to help stop the man from touching her husband.
Many social media users were definitely here for the moment as they applauded Jill for protecting her husband.
One person said, “YO, Jill Biden is FEARLESS. These two protesters rushed the stage, and Jill had her man’s back. Nice to see that. You’ll never see Melania do that.”
Another person said, “Damn, Dr. Jill Biden and Joe’s younger sister surrounded him like Secret Service agents to protect him, then Symone Sanders came in for the tackle. That’s love from powerful women.”
Another attendee at the event captured a different angle of the encounter, and basically Jill was not having it.
Recently Joe Biden stepped into The Shade Room to answer some of our questions. If you missed it, check it out here.
