Roommates, in just a few weeks, the 63rd GRAMMY Awards show will be airing! Some of our favorites are nominated, and you never know what to expect, but we can guarantee bomb lewks, great performances, and several winners. It’s something that everyone will be talking about. During the Pre GRAMMY ceremony, we will see a few familiar faces on the screen. One of them being Jhene Aiko.
She will be hosting the GRAMMY Awards’ Premiere Ceremony on Sunday, March 14th. This is a big thing for two reasons. First, she’s the first host of the Premiere Ceremony nominated for album of the year. Secondly, the majority of the GRAMMY Awards will be presented during this ceremony, according to Billboard.
In addition to hosting, Jhene is also in the running for a few GRAMMY’s aside from her album “Chilombo” being nominated for album of the year. She is nominated for best progressive R&B album, and she has a third nomination for best R&B performance for “Lightning & Thunder.” Viewers will be in for a treat during the show as it will be kicked off, honoring the 50th anniversary of the late Marvin Gaye’s classic song “Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology).” Ledisi, PJ Morton, and several others will take part in the performance.
That’s not the only performance viewers can look forward to seeing! International artist Burna Boy is set to hold down the stage as he is the only rapper to perform during the ceremony. If this is what they have for the pre-ceremony, I can’t wait for the actual GRAMMY awards! Some of this year’s nominees include Beyoncé, Roddy Ricch, Megan thee Stallion, Doja Cat, and more. Roomies, will ya’ll be tuned in?
