Jeannie Mai is reportedly voicing concerns over the safety of her and Jeezy‘s one-year-old daughter. As The Shade Room previously reported, Jeezy filed for divorce from Mai in September. The couple were married for two and a half years.
In December, reports surfaced of Mai’s legal response to Jeezy’s filing. The 44-year-old alleged her estranged husband was unfaithful during their marriage. Additionally, Mai proposed Jeezy would have to face a “significant financial penalty” for his alleged actions, per their prenuptial agreement.
Since then, Jeezy has denied Mai’s infidelity claims.

Jeezy Seeks Temporary Custody Schedule As Jeannie Mai Responds To ‘Gatekeeping’ Claims
According to TMZ, Jeezy requested a hearing to determine a temporary custody schedule for his and Mai’s daughter, Monaco. The outlet reports that Jeezy’s legal documents alleged Mai was keeping their daughter from seeing him “on a consistent basis.”
“[Mai’s] interference with [Jeezy’s] relationship with the Child, again, while not generated from or with malicious intent, is nevertheless, causing confusion and tension between the parties and is working to stifle the development of Petitioner’s relationship with the Child,” Jeezy’s legal documents read, per Page Six. “As such, it is necessary at this point to separate, structure and clearly define the parties’ temporary legal and physical custody rights and set a parenting time schedule consistent with the best interests of the Child.”
In response, Mai is allegedly calling Jeezy’s claims false.
Additionally, the talk show host has alleged that she’s given the rapper all of his requested dates with Monaco and “an extended period of time with her” over the Christmas holiday.
The Talk Show Host Delves Further Into Safety Concerns Regarding Their Daughter
TMZ adds that Mai’s response filing voices safety concerns for her and Jeezy’s daughter. The filing reportedly addresses Mai’s expectations that firearms, which have allegedly “been unsecured in the past,” be secured in Monaco’s presence.
Additionally, Mai is voicing her expectation for “properly trained caregivers” to be present with their daughter.
“It is essential to clarify that Ms. Jenkins’ insistence on reasonable safety measures being put in place, such as safely securing and locking away all firearms that have been unsecured in the past, as well as having familiarity and properly trained caregivers is absolutely not gatekeeping, but rather a responsible effort to prioritize their daughter’s well-being,” Mai’s response filing reads, per TMZ.
Furthermore, the filing explained that Mai’s concerns or requests are “not an attempt to restrict” Jeezy’s “access to their daughter.”
“These requests are grounded in Ms. Jenkins’ genuine concern for the parties’ daughter’s safety and security, especially when under the care of others and traveling across the country, and are reasonable protective measures, not an attempt to restrict Mr. Jenkins’ access to their daughter.
Jeannie Mai’s Request For Upcoming Legal Proceedings With Jeezy
According to TMZ, Mai is asking the court to send her and the rapper to mediation. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, the process involves using a third party to assist in “negotiating jointly acceptable” resolutions in issues of conflict.
The outlet reports that Mai’s filing indicates her belief that she and Jeezy can sort out the temporary custody schedule themselves.
