The month of January is quickly coming to an end and football fans are preparing for Super Bowl LV.
Aside from the actual football game, many fans look forward to the musical entertainment portion of the highly televised event. On Tuesday, it was announced that Jazmine Sullivan and H.E.R are among the performers for this year’s kick-off show on CBS. It was announced that Jazmine Sullivan will be singing the National Anthem along with Eric Church and H.E.R. will be singing “America the Beautiful.”
According to the NFL, Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church’s duet of the National Anthem, and H.E.R.’s performance of “America the Beautiful,” will be accompanied by Warren “Wawa” Snipe, who is a deaf rapper and recording artist, who will perform both songs in American Sign Language.
Recently Jazmine Sullivan and H.E.R. collaborated on Jazmine’s latest project, “Heaux Tales.” They collaborated on the song “Girl Like Me,” and performed the song live on NPR’s “Tiny Desk” concert series.
As previously reported, it was announced that The Weeknd will headline this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show. He will join the likes of other artists such as Michael Jackson, Prince, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Bruno Mars, and a host of others, that have become a part of Super Bowl history after headlining the halftime show.
