Chile! The internet wasn’t feeling Jazmine Cheaves after she compared her infant son to a “girl” for “screaming.” Amid social media users dragging her, Jazmine took to Instagram to address the critics and speak about her commitment to being a “good mom.”
Here’s What Jazmine Cheaves Said To Her Son
On Monday (August 12), a video surfaced online of Jazmine Cheaves chilling with her infant son, Blaze Javier Cheaves. While she was on camera, the child was not. However, he could be heard in the background making baby gurgles and screeches.
At one point, Jazmine looked down at the infant and said, “Blaze, I told you, you’re not a girl. Stop the screaming.” However, the baby kept on with his screaming noises, and Cheaves began addressing comments from viewers. “This is what he does all day. He just yells,” the mother added.
“Between him being like so tuned into the TV and him screaming, I just be like…” Jazmine said, trailing off while reading the responses. After someone replied, “He sounds like a big boy,” Cheaves responded:
“No I don’t like when he do that screaming sh*t. He’s not a girl.”

Cheaves Claps Back At Online Critics
As mentioned, Jazmine Cheaves’ comments quickly picked up steam online and ultimately became controversial. The majority of the criticism involved people pointing out that Blaze is just an infant, and all infants scream and make noises. While some dragged her motherhood skills, others called for folks to give her grace as a first-time mommy.
By Monday evening, Cheaves’ clapback on Instagram Story made it clear that she had seen the feedback, especially the drags! She began her clapback by saying she hasn’t played about her son Blaze since his birth on April 22.
“The internet is a crazy place. I wish y’all would leave me tf alone. When I say I’m the best mom I mean REAL LIFE NOT NO IG…,” she stated, adding that she posts other moments with her son but the “BS” is what made “every blog.”
Additionally, Jazmine said she plans to keep Blaze off social media and block anyone asking about him.
“It’s insane the way y’all love making me look bad! Hate me…but don’t bring my child into cause he lives a great life & he LOVESSSSSS his mam fasho!”
For context, Jazmine is publicly known as Jayda Cheaves’ sister. Most recently, Jazmine got into a verbal tussle with Queen Key over a dispute about mentioning the kids Key allegedly shares with 600Breezy, who is also the father of Jazmine’s son.
