Here’s How The Accusations Popped Off Against Jayda Cheaves

On Tuesday, Cheaves took to her Instagram Story to share footage from what appears to be her current vacation. In one of the posts shared on her story, Cheaves showed off an orange bikini she was rocking. The bikini’s bra featured a ruffled design.

As Cheaves continued to post on Instagram, she shared a carousel of photos of her rocking the bikini on her feed.

One X, formerly known as Twitter user @Chelseaaaah_, caught wind of Cheaves’ vaca ‘fit. In response, she alleged Cheaves stole her friend’s swimsuit design. Additionally, the X user dropped receipts.

“It’s a shame that my friend worked so hard for business for years just for JAYDA WAYDA TO STEAL HER WHOLE S**T after she was PAID to wear & post my friends bikini!!! WEIRDO FLEX,” she tweeted.

From there, the X user proceeded to drop screenshots of Cheaves rocking the Eaunoir Swim bikini in a photo allegedly taken in 2020. Additionally, the user shared a screenshot of Cheave’s initial post shouting out the brand in 2020.

However, they added that after recently scrolling down Cheave’s Instagram, they believe the socialite went back and edited her post, deleting her shoutout to Eaunoir Swim.

The Waydamin Founder Responds As Eaunoir Swim & Social Media Reacts

The viral allegations prompted Eaunoir Swim to issue a statement about the matter via Instagram.

“In July 2020, I reached out to Lawanda Jayda Waydas’ manager to propose Jayda wearing our bathing suit, and we settled on a payment of $4000 for her to showcase it…” they wrote. “…When Jayda wore it, she tagged our Instagram page in her post and IG story. I continued to communicate with her about future arrangements and provided samples and design concepts for her to wear in 2021. However, she expressed her focus on launching her own brand. By June 2021, we initiated the process of copyrighting the bathing suit for legal protection. Despite having numerous influencers and celebrities endorsing our flower bomb bathing suit, it is disheartening to address the situation where hardworking women are taken advantage of by influencers who mimic our original work…”

Furthermore, Cheaves ultimately responded to the stealing accusations via Snapchat.

“Oh it’s NO shade. The girl i promoted back in 2020 was on the mood board for this summers swim,” she wrote. “That’s what fashion is about remaking and recreating…”

Meanwhile, social media users commented on the ordeal in The Shade Room’s comment section.

Instagram user @keairalashae wrote, How bout this… if y’all like the swimsuit, purchase from the original creator and let’s help put money in her pockets!! 💜 Jayda was wrong for this and she knows it.”

While Instagram user @bombshell.caramel added,If my friend not coming like this for me ion want her 👏👏👏😂😂”
Instagram user @meyahmarie wrote, Yall act like Fashion Nova, SHEIN, and Pretty Little Thing don’t create similar items all the time…..
And I don’t see them tagging eachother… yall just reaching to have some reason to talk about Jayda and it’s getting old.”
While Instagram user @xoxomajesty_ added, Butttttt removing the tag is shady. Period end of discussion”
Instagram user @chailaa.jpg wrote, As a fashion designer with a degree, fashion is not about recreating or remaking. Maybe for an influencer who starts a boutique it is but for a real designer it’s not.”
While Instagram user @slaybaenay added, If she was on the mood board AND you promoted it before, why not just bring her on for that set? A small line and it could’ve been wayda x her swim collection? You made the same swimsuit not just was inspired by it”
