Jayda Cheaves Responds To Comments About Promo Video
On Friday, July 19, Jayda Cheaves posted an Instagram video promoting her new Malibu capsule collection for her Waydamin clothing brand.
The mini commercial sees Jayda strutting down the beach to find a spot to lay out and tan. She eventually removes her white bikini top and falls asleep in the sand.
As she gets some rest and relaxation, her 5-year-old son, Loyal, and his friend run off with her top and throw it into the ocean. Jayda Cheaves wakes up and realizes that her top is gone. However, she seemed to be cool with it, letting her twins free as she took a dip in the sea.
Chile! Social media users were not feeling Jayda’s concept and thought it was inappropriate for her to be nude around her son. Jayda quickly responded to one commenter under her video to explain why she appeared partially nude. The Instagram user wrote, “Not butt naked with the kids 😭.”
While Jayda reacted by saying, “That’s they mama fault lmao I was minding my business, then they came to bother me 😩🤣”

Yella Beezy And Social Media Users React To Jayda
Amid reactions to Jayda’s commercial, Yella Beezy weighed in via X (formerly Twitter). The rapper wrote that he’s not “taking up for nobody” but questioned whether nudity is normal around mothers and their kids.
“…& I ain’t tryna sound weird but y’all mama didn’t walk around y’all naked as a child? Maybe it’s the scenery of it being at a beach but I think half the women with kids have or had walk around them nude. Maybe a blk household thing?”
After Yella Beezy’s statements, Jayda responded in The Shade Room comments, explaining that she and her son Loyal were acting in a professionally produced short film to bring her vision for the new collection to life.
“This was a set with a real production team. I know it’s hard to understand because I did use myself, & my child (who’s an aspiring actor) along with another casted actor. But plz keep in mind WE were all ACTING & trying to visualize the concept to create this short film, hence to why i got up made sure nobody was around and then proceeded to embrace that I was topless.. without any knowledge of WHO TOOK MY @waydaminbrand BIKINI TOP BECAUSE I WAS ALSEEP when it happened in the film.”
Meanwhile, commenters under The Shade Room’s Instagram report also popped off about Jayda’s campaign video. Several social media users seemed to be divided, claiming that being nude around your children is normal. While others misunderstood the video and thought it was outta pocket.
Instagram user @the.femalejoker wrote, “Y’all mommas ain’t walk around the house naked while yall was growing up? 😂”
Instagram user @__validd wrote, “lmaoooo so y’all think that’s loyal first time seeing his mom naked 😂😂😂🫠”
While Instagram user @sensi.amilla wrote, “y’all could never survive a Carribean household.”
Then Instagram user @sheniahlarae wrote, “Very tacky marketing! I didn’t even understand what was being promoted.”
Another Instagram user @pinkythemua wrote, “little kids see their mamas half dressed all day at home…you know why? because we can’t pee, shower or get in dressed in damn peace! 😂 let Jayda be”
Finally, Instagram user @ekela.pendetta wrote, “Y’all sexualize EVERYTHING. y’all need HELP.”
