Social media influencer and entrepreneur Jayda Cheaves is doing her part in making a difference this holiday season. The 25-year-old announced the arrival of her first annual Jingle Jam holiday toy drive event earlier this month. And took to Instagram on Sunday to share the final results with fans.
JAYDA’S JINGLE JAM. Today was such a success. Thanks to my @waydaminbrand team for helping. Thank you @jmcallisterevents for the beautiful decor and thanks to all the guests who came out and enjoyed this amazing experience with us it was every bit of perfect everybody left HAPPY. And that’s what it’s all about.
For those who couldn’t be in Atlanta to attend the event, Cheaves took to YouTube to give fans a behind-the-scenes look.
We had a time at this event! Can’t wait until next year. It’ll be even bigger and better. Hope you guys enjoy this video.
According to MadameNoire, the full footage starts with Cheaves sharing that the event has quickly sold out of free tickets and will have to make more available.
So instead of doing 300 tickets we had to end up doing 400. Just because — I’m like — there’s no way 300 people checked out that fast, absolutely no way. So we added 100 more tickets.
Cheaves was sure to show off the event’s extravagant Christmas-themed decor, and families that gathered to celebrate. One woman was sure to give Cheaves her flowers for thinking of the children and community.
I just want to say thank you to Jayda because this is very important for the community. Because a lot of kids don’t have toys for Christmas. And she’s making a lot of dreams come true.
The footage continues by showing more gratitude from fellow parents and children who were excited to receive their toys and bicycles. Before the vlog ends, Cheaves comes back on screen to share an update with viewers.
We did it — We did it JOE! It was such a success, the turnout was amazing, [and] the crowd was perfect!
According to Cheaves, everyone who attended the event left with a gift, “plus more.”
Everything was just how I imagined — even more. So I’m glad we got to experience this. I’m ready for next year already. And next year is going to be bigger and even better — it’s just amazing.
Kudos to Jayda Cheaves for making such a wonderful impact this holiday season!
