Jay-Z’s latest docu-series, “Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story” focuses on the tragic loss of Trayvon Martin and the effects his passing had on our communities.
On Monday, the official trailer for the six-part series was released, along with the series premiere date.
The documentary, which is executive produced by Jay-Z and Trayvon’s parents, is scheduled to premiere on July 30th on the Paramount Network.
According to XXL, the documentary adapts two books centered on Trayvon’s passing. The first is “Rest In Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin,” which is written by Trayvon’s parents Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin. The second book is “Suspicion Nation,” written by Lisa Bloom, which details George Zimmerman’s trial and acquittal.
“Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story” comes after the 2017 docu-series “Time: The Kalief Browder Story,” also produced by Jay-Z.
