Last week Jay-Z announced one of the many projects he will be working on under his new first look deal with the Weinstein Company.
Recently he announced yet another project that will definitely capture the attention of many.
According to Page Six, Jay-Z will be producing a NBC drama about Nicholas Irving, the first African American sniper to serve as a special ops sniper battalion.
“This Is Us” actor Sterling K. Brown will star as Nicholas Irving in the NBC drama. Irving has been nicknamed, “The Reaper,” and has been identified as one of the most deadly snipers.
The six-hour miniseries will be based off of Irving’s 2015 memoir, “The Reaper: Autobiography of One of the Deadliest Special Ops Snipers.” The Weinstein Company recently picked up the rights to the book.
According to sources, filming on the project is expected to kickoff early next year.
