Last weekend both Janelle Monae and Kendrick Lamar hit up the 2016 BET Awards and shut down the stage. Now both artists will appear at the White House as they both were tapped to perform for the Fourth of July Concert.
The show dedicated to military heroes and their families will go down Monday evening. The White House staff and their families will be in attendance for the show, as well as for the viewing of the fireworks.
Both Kendrick and Janelle made visits to the White House earlier this year. Kendrick met up with President Obama for the “My Brother’s Keeper” initiative and Janelle was a part of the “This Is For My Girls” single, which featured tons of other stars curated by Michelle Obama.
