Jalen Green shared a few words about his “baby” and “family” after dropping season-high stats during a recent NBA game. As The Shade Room previously reported, it has been speculated that the 22-year-old is expecting a child with 39-year-old Draya Michele.
According to the NBA, Green — who plays for the Houston Rockets — kicked off the week by earning the “NBA Player of the Week” accolade alongside the New York Knicks’ Jalen Brunson.
According to Sports Illustrated, the Rockets faced off against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, March 19. The game was eventful for the team, as they “won their sixth consecutive game.”
Additionally, the Rockets closed the score at 137-114.
However, the game was also a milestone for Green. The 22-year-old “led the team in scoring with a season-high 42 points” and ten rebounds. Additionally, Green scored 19 points in just the first quarter.
Furthermore, the outlet notes that Green was able to tie his career-high with 42 points.
During a post-game interview, Green spoke about not only tying his career high but also what’s been motivating him recently.
“My family [is motivating me] — my family, um, my baby,” he said.

Social media users entered The Shade Room’s comment section to share their reactions to Green’s mention of his “baby.” Many appeared to believe Green seemingly confirmed that he is expecting a child with Michele.
As The Shade Room previously reported, Draya Michele revealed her pregnancy on March 8, which was International Women’s Day. At the time, the 39-year-old revealed she is seven months along and her baby girl is expected in May.
Michele did not drop any hints at who the father of her child was. However, in August 2023, Michele and Green were first spotted together, sparking rumors of a romance, per SportsSkeeta. Then, in January, footage went viral of Michele walking behind Green at an NBA game. Social media users speculated that Michele appeared pregnant.
Although Michele didn’t offer any answers to the speculation, Kyle Kuzma seemingly confirmed that Green is the father of Michele’s baby. As The Shade Room previously reported, the fellow NBA player posted a message congratulating both Green and Michele on her pregnancy.
Since then, social media users have also speculated that Green has Michele’s first name tattooed, per The Shade Room.
Still, Green nor Michele have publicly confirmed that they’re expecting a child together. However, Michele has spoken out to share how she’s been feeling since announcing the major update in her life.
