Ja Rule Addresses Fyre Festival Fiasco With New Track “FYRE”

#Roommates, it’s been three years since Ja Rule was involved in the fiasco known as the Fyre Festival—which left thousands of people stranded, hungry and out of money for a music festival that never actually happened. Ja has since been cleared by a judge of any wrongdoing, but in the court of public opinion he is still one of the faces of one of the biggest festival disasters in recent memory.

Ja Rule has said recently that he has plans to put together his own festival that will be even bigger and bigger the Fyre was—and as you can imagine, not many people are here for that idea. Fast forward to the present, and Ja has made a return to music with his newly released track “FYRE” which addresses the entire situation.

At times during the song, he appeared to be joking about what happened and then quickly making sure to let listeners know that he was conned just like everyone else. The song samples the classic hip hop joint “The Show” by Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick.

Some of the lyrics to “FYRE” are as follows:

“The festival is on fire/ We don’t need no water, make that motherf—er hotter/ Hotter than the sun, but it wasn’t that/ Show of hands if you got your money back?/ Just playing, I got sued for that/ 100 mil to be exact.” He continues, adding, “False advertising ain’t fraud.”

Ja revealed on Instagram that he’s currently working on his album and plans to release it on February 29, 2020. He wrote, “I’m still working on the album it’s coming out dope… be patient wit me I’m working on a lot!!! Feb. 29 new date my bday.”
