The couple released a video updating fans on their pregnancy which they announced back in October. They broke news that their daughter, Dakota was born five months early.
“We know you guys congratulated us in the expectancy of our little baby girl–but we had her five months,” Jewel said in the video. “She’s five days old today and her name is Dakota and she weighs one pound.”
She says they decided to share such a heartbreaking moment with the world for those who unfortunately will have to experience this one day.
“We know we’re not the only family going through this, who has been through this and who will ever go through it, that’s why we decided to share what we’re going through with you guys, she said. “Please keep us in your prayers, and we’ll do the same for everyone else.”
Pull through, Baby Dakota!
