The Playboy empire was started from the ground up by Hugh Heffner who had being a ladies man down to a science! The company used to get their 10’s for their centerfolds of baddies throughout the 20th and 21st centuries ranging from Marilyn Monroe all the way to Carmen Electra and Kim Kardashian! Don’t even let me get started on this mansion, though. It was built in 1927 and sits on six acres in Holmby Hills. Not to mention, there have been hundreds if not thousands of epic parties thrown at the mansion. Imagine if those walls could talk!
Fast forward to the sex-driven world that we live in today, sex and nudity is no longer exclusive. You can literally get your kinks out any time you want without having to wait for a monthly subscription, or pay, which is why Playboy stopped publishing nudes this past Fall. Needless to say, things are slowing down at the Playboy Mansion and it’ recently been put up for sale.
The owner, Playboy Enterprises, is reachiiiing for $200 million, but according to TMZ, “Real estate sources with knowledge of the area say the owners are dreaming when it comes to price. They say the reality is … the house is a tear-down and the real value is the acreage and that a comparable lot sold recently in the area for $60 mil, but the sources say because of its history the Mansion could go for anywhere between $80 mil and $90 mil.” They better be happy with that! That’s like, $1 million every year since it’s been on this Earth!
One of the big catches involved with this purchase is that the new owners must agree to give Hef a life estate, which means that he still gets to live there until he dies. He’ll be 90 in April, by the way! The owners-to-be must also keep their paws and eyes out of his room! The playboy is married to his wife Crystal, so they need their privacy too!
This isn’t as sad as you thought, huh? Still, Hugh Hefner has seen so much in his life. It’d be amazing to sit and talk with him!
