After weeks of teasing her new single, Ice Spice finally released ‘Gimme A Light’ on Friday (May 10). Now, she’s receiving mixed reactions for sampling Sean Paul‘s hit ‘Gimme The Light’ in the song.
The song seems to mix a drill beat with Sean Paul’s reggae classic. In the chorus, Spice raps:

Two hours since its release, the song’s music video has pulled in a little over 100,000 views. A lil’ peek at the video’s comment section and social media shows mixed reactions to how she used the sample and how it was mixed, including the volume in her voice.
