Bill Maher has been under fire after his use of the n-word on his show “Real Time With Bill Maher.”
On his show, which took place on June 2nd, Maher had Sen. Ben Sasse as a guest. During their discussion about visiting the Cornhusker State, Sasse offered Maher the opportunity to work in the field with them, and Maher replied, “Work in the fields? Senator, I’m a house n*gger.”
According to TMZ, Ice Cube was scheduled to appear on Maher’s show prior to his comment. Ice Cube is out promoting the 25th-anniversary edition of his album “Death Certificate.”
Instead of canceling his appearance like Sen. Al Franken, Ice Cube will reportedly still appear on the show, where he will talk to Maher about his controversial comment.
A rep for Ice Cube reportedly said this is perfect timing since “Death Certificate” was released in the wake of the Rodney King beating, “Which sadly, speaks to many of the same race issues we as a society are still dealing with today.”
Roommates, will you be tuned in?
