Ice Cube’s production company, Cube Vision, and the rapper’s manager, Jeff Kwatinetz, have inked a massive multimedia deal with 20th Century Fox TV and Fox 21 TV studios! According to Deadline, they have a two-year agreement which says that they will be the executive producers on various projects of different genres such as comedy, reality, drama, animation and specials.
“I’m very happy and excited to work with the talented and creative people at Fox,” Cube said in a statement. “Their ability to bring groundbreaking television of every type through both cable and broadcast makes them the perfect partner for Cube Vision.” Cube Vision is producing the Hollywood Squares squares reboot for VH1 next spring and as well as Warmer Bros. film Fist Fight coming in February, so Ice Cube is about to have a full plate!
Fox Television Group Chairmen and CEOs Dana Walden and Gary Newman spoke very highly of Ice Cube as they explained why they can’t wait to work with the rapper. “It’s hard to think of a more multidimensional artist than Ice Cube, whose influence on the culture and enormous talent is virtually unrivaled,” they said in a joint statement. “He’s a performer, a songwriter, a recording artist, an actor and a filmmaker, and his work speaks to a broad, multigenerational audience. We’ve been dying to be in business with him for years, and we think the combination of Cube and his incredibly talented producing partner Jeff Kwatinetz is going to result in some very compelling television.”
