Megan Thee Stallion and Beyonce out here saving the world one song at a time, and Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner is recognizing the two ladies.
The two women had Al Gore’s innanet in a daze and full of excitement with the ‘Savage Remix’ that dropped a couple of days ago.
While releasing this new summer track, Meg announced that all of the proceeds will go towards Houston’s Bread of Life nonprofit organization.
The support for their hometown during this viral pandemic did not go unnoticed by the Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner. He took to Twitter to announce that both artists will receive honorary days.
He wrote:
“#Htown’s @Beyonce & @theestallion dropped a new remix that is just #Savage.
Because of both artists’ contributions to uplifting our communities, holding down #HTown, & for helping us remain #HoustonStrong our city will present both artists with their own respective days. st (1/2)”
He also stated:
“It’s great to see proceeds from the single’s purchase will support Bread of Life. Let’s purchase & support this organization’s efforts.
I look forward to connecting with both artists’ teams to find the appropriate time to make these requests a reality. #HoustonStrong (2/2).”
Both artists have contributed a great deal to COVID-19 relief efforts. As you know, Queen Bey donated $6 million to help organizations deal with mental health concerns.
Meg also partnered with Amazon to help Houston nursing homes obtain supplies during this time.
Baby, we love to see it!!
