Roommates, if you’re just joining us, then let me catch you up to speed with what’s going on with Miss #TiffanyHaddish! The #GirlsTrip star is making history tonight as she will be the very first black female comedian to host #SNL which is a very high honor in itself.
This is such a monumental moment for Haddish, but also for black female comediennes who came before her like #MomsMabley. Mabley was one of the most successful black comedians of her time having performed on The Ed Sullivan Show and The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour which was HUGE back then.
What a time to be alive to see Tiffany Haddish achieve something that Mabley, #WhoopiGoldberg, #MoNique, #SherylUnderwood, #Luenell, #WandaSykes, #KimWayans, #KymWhitley, #DebraWilson and many, many other women before her have paved the way for!
