So since Tidal made its debut, artists like Rihanna and Kanye have been taking advantage of its monogamous perks –first and initially exclusive releases via the streaming app.
But how about Drake stepping out of the new wave though –kind of… “Views from the 6” is one of this year’s most highly anticipated albums and just a few days ago, got a release date of April 29th. Now we hear that its release will be exclusive to Apple Music…for a week. Y’all know what that means?! Yet another group of people will have access to a potentially monumental project while the rest of his fans rummage through the internet for leaks and downloads.
Lucky for Apple Music-less fans, it will only be exclusive on that platform for the first week of its release and then it will become available for other streaming sites.
This actually makes sense though seeing as how Drake penned a $19 million deal with Apple last year, which is why his latest singles “Pop Style” and “One Dance” popped up exclusively via Apple Music. But making the whole album exclusive?! Brave! We see you Drizzy!
Roommates, we need to know: Do y’all have Apple Music? Would y’all subscribe to get a first listen of Views?! Let’s chat : )
