HBO has shared an update on the return of its hit show ‘Euphoria’ and social media isn’t holding back its reactions.

According to Deadline, the show’s creator, Sam Levinson, is still working on scripts for the show’s upcoming third season. Therefore, “filming plans” for the show have been “temporarily put on hold.”
Additionally, the network has given the cast of ‘Euphoria’ permission to accept other acting jobs as they await the show’s production to be resumed.
“HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season,” the network reportedly asserted in a statement to Deadline. “In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities.”
The outlet adds that filming for the show’s third season was expected to begin in the next couple of months. However, it has not been reported how the latest delay may alter this timeline.
However, Deadline reports that the network is committed to plans for the show to “premiere in 2025.”
According to ELLE, the second season of ‘Euphoria’ premiered in January 2022. Meanwhile, the show’s first season premiered in 2019, per The Shade Room.
