Just a few days ago it all went down between former #LoveAndHipHop star #HazelE and #YungMiami, with a few guest appearances from #JoselineHernandez who was cheering on her homegirl Hazel.
It all started when Hazel E put out a diss track on the #CityGirls because she claims that their mega hit “Act Up” was similar to a song on her album, which coincidentally is also titled “Girl Code.”
But Yung Miami let Hazel and Joseline know they didn’t want any smoke and was mainly upset that Hazel mentioned her son in the song. Yung Miami even let them know they could pull up to Miami if they were about that life.
Well, now Hazel is singing a different tune. She recently told @tmz_tv that she doesn’t intend on throwing hands with Yung Miami and wants to keep the beef strictly to the music. “I put it in a verse, I dropped how I feel and I left it there,” Hazel said. “I’m thinking in a good freestyle battle, she was gon’ be responding 48, 72 hours.”
Hazel referenced the rap beef between Meek Mill and Drake as an example of what she thought was going to play out.
“There’s been legendary Jay-Z, Nas rap beefs and it doesn’t always have to go to the streets,” she said.
She added that she didn’t feel responding in violence was the right way to go about it and mentioned that the hip hop community just lost the late great Nipsey Hussle due to some “ignorant” behavior.
She reiterated that she won’t be fighting Yung Miami, claiming that Miami is “a little girl.”
“I’m too grown to be out fighting little girls,” Hazel said.
She did however say in the interview that she plans to take legal action against the City Girls to get what she feels is rightfully owed to her from them allegedly sampling her music.
No word from Yung Miami about Hazel’s interview but we’ll keep you posted on this one, Roommates.
You can hear what Hazel said below.
