Halle Bailey recently stopped by the White House during its Easter festivities. The reason behind Bailey’s visit is sure to put a smile on many fans’ faces!
Halle Bailey Got The Opportunity To Read To Young Fans: ‘I Feel So Honored’
On Monday, the 23-year-old songstress shared a social media upload. In the post, she announced that she had been invited to the White House to read The Little Mermaid: Make a Splash to children.
For context, the book is described as a “retelling” of the live-action The Little Mermaid film. A live-action remake premieres in late May and features Bailey in the leading role.
While acknowledging the experience of sharing the book with children at the White House, Bailey noted that she was “honored.”
She added, “This was my first time ever seeing this book in person and watching the kids’ reaction to the story was my favorite part of it all.”
Alongside some stunning selfies, her upload featured her posing with the children for a big ol’ group photo. Additionally, a screengrab showed Bailey reading the book to listeners while showing off the illustrations. Love to see it!
Speaking of the White House Easter festivities, we should note that Halle Bailey isn’t the only star who celebrated the springtime holiday with the Bidens.
Dr. Wendy Osefo of The Real Housewives of Potomac shared a photo of her family attending the colorful Easter Egg Roll event. She noted that the experience was “EGG-ceptional.”
Her post also showed that Shamea Morton of The Real Housewives of Atlanta — who recently welcomed a baby girl via surrogacy — was at the event, too.
Notably, ahead of the Easter Egg Roll, President Joe Biden dished on the prospect of running for reelection, according to AP News.
Biden initially declared that he plans to partake in “at least three or four more Easter Egg Rolls, maybe five.” He told Al Roker, “I’m planning on running, Al, but we’re not prepared to announce it yet.”
Shoutout to Halle Bailey!
