H.E.R. Announced As A Performer For The 61st Annual Grammy Awards

The 61st annual Grammy Awards is right around the corner and the recording academy has been announcing performers for this year’s show.

One performer set to hit the stage on February 10th is none of than H.E.R. She is already nominated for five Grammy awards including, Album Of The Year, Best New Artist, Best R&B Performance, Best R&B Song, and Best R&B Album.

H.E.R. took to social media to express her excitement about hitting the stage on music’s biggest night.

Last year she dropped two EPs, first, she released “I Used To Know Her: The Prelude” in August and followed up with “I Used To Know Her: Part 2 in November.

Back in September she talked with Elle Magazine and revealed the inspiration behind her “I Used To Know Her” EP. She said, “A lot of the songs have just come from this place of wanting to elevate, bring out more musicality, and do things more freely. I Used to Know H.E.R. is my perspective in life up to this point: All the things I’ve experienced, all my stories, those things that really have built who I am. The title comes from how people who knew me in high school, who would push me aside or maybe disregard me and consider me a nobody, are now like: I used to know her. They say that a lot.”

Other confirmed performers include Miley Cyrus, Janelle Monae, Post Malone, Cardi B., and more.

The 61st annual Grammy Awards take place on February 10th and will be hosted by Alicia Keys.

Roommates, are you excited for H.E.R.’s Grammy performance?
