Ryan Anderson is spilling the tea on what really led to his recent split from Gypsy Rose Blanchard.
In an exclusive interview with E! News, Ryan Anderson dished on why he and Gypsy Rose decided to call it quits. Anderson told E! News reporter Francesca Amiker that he still can’t wrap his head around how quickly things changed.
“I have some ideas. Personally, I think outside influences got involved. And I don’t want to pinpoint it yet, because I’m still processing. but I’d go to work and then her mind would just run rampant. And I’m still trying figure out how did it happen so fast?”
During the interview, Ryan also shared his thoughts on Gypsy reconnecting with her ex-fiancé and current boyfriend, Ken Urker. He admitted that their matching tattoos brought him to his breaking point.
“It’s hard to watch it unfold in the public eye like that. You know, there were certain things that happened that really, really got me. I mean, it really affected me. The matching tattoos really got me. That was one that really hurt me. It’s one of those things that you always look down and see. It’s one of those things that you just can’t erase.”
As Anderson continues to reflect on his relationship with Gypsy, he further explained that he feels blindsided by the breakup.
“That’s my thing, when I say I’m blindsided really, I’m blindsided about how fast things occur. It’s like a snowball and I haven’t been able to stop it. It’s just one of those where it’s gonna continue to roll.”
As The Shade Room previously reported, Gypsy Rose and Ryan Anderson tied the knot with a small prison ceremony in July 2022. However, in March, PEOPLE reported that the couple had made the decision to separate. Gypsy officially confirmed the news on Facebook. She later filed for divorce on April 8.
The couple’s breakup happened just three months after Gypsy was released from Missouri’s Chillicothe Correctional Center, where she served over eight years for conspiring with her then-boyfriend Nicholas “Nick” Godejohn to murder her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard.
Although they have made the decision to separate, fans will have the chance to see Ryan and Gypsy’s love story play out in her new Lifetime series, ‘Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up.’ The show will also give viewers an insight into her rekindled romance with her current boyfriend, Ken Urker.
Gypsy and Ken started out as pen pals while she was serving time in prison. However, the duo officially reconnected in April while Gypsy was married to Ryan. In an interview with PEOPLE, the former inmate told the outlet that Ken was always her true love.
“I would say that Ken is my first love because that’s when I honestly felt like a mature love. It wasn’t based off a fantasy. It was actually based on a connection that two people have for each other,” Gypsy explained.
