Grubhub Driver Allegedly Runs Over Woman With His Car After Refusing To Practice Social Distancing

#Roommates, as food delivery services have become increasingly more popular due to the coronavirus outbreak, there has also been a rise in questionable behavior. A Chicago Grubhub driver is in hot water with authorities after allegedly running over a woman with his car following an argument about his refusal to social distance.

@TMZ_TV reports, a local Chicago Grubhub driver has officially turned himself in to authorities after allegedly running over a woman with his car. On May 15th in the Lakeview neighborhood on the northside of Chicago, Angenita Tanner, the owner of Ms. T’s Southern Fried Chicken, got into an argument with the Grubhub driver inside her restaurant and it continued outside because he was outraged at being asked to social distance.

According to Tanner, the man walked in to pick up a delivery order and Tanner asked him to wait outside because she is currently only allowing one person inside her restaurant at a time. That’s when she says things turned ugly and a verbal altercation ensued, including the man shouting and kicking the front door. Tanner and her daughter, Bijan Early, followed him outside to get his license plate and call the police—and while he was behind the wheel he purposely accelerated, hitting Early with his car from behind.

Tanner says her daughter suffered multiple broken bones and had to require surgery for her injuries. She will likely recover, but the Grubhub driver in question reportedly is facing multiple charges following turning himself in because the entire incident was captured on video.

Meanwhile, Grubhub has publicly condemned the alleged hit-and-run –and says that the driver’s credentials have officially been revoked. The company is fully cooperating with the Chicago police for any necessary information regarding the investigation.
