GloRilla has shared her reaction to the viral footage of a Baltimore pastor reciting her “gospel” lyrics and calling her a “new gospel artist.”
According to Complex, on Tuesday, March 5, Baltimore-based pastor Reverend Melech E. M. Thomas shared a video of his recent sermon on X, formerly known as Twitter.
In the clip, Reverend Thomas recited lyrics from Glo’s 2022 hit single, ‘Tomorrow 2.’ Additionally, he referred to the rap song as “gospel music” and GloRilla as a “new gospel artist.”
“This is why I love, I love, I love good gospel music. I love good gospel music, and there’s this new gospel artist. Some of you might know her, some of you don’t, but her name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods,” the pastor told his congregation. “Yes, she’s from Memphis. She’s from Memphis.”
The pastor went on:
“Some of you might know her as GloRilla. GloRilla has a song called ‘Tomorrow’ and she makes this statement that blesses me; she says, ‘Everyday the sun don’t shine, but that’s why I love tomorrow,'” Reverend Thomas continued. “And I’m talking to some people that life ain’t been the kindest to you, but you understand that what big mama said all the time: that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. That every day is not good, but as long as I can make it to tomorrow, something can turn around.”
Before ending his sermon, the pastor instructed his congregants to turn to their neighbors and say, “Yeah, Glo!”

Furthermore, after the pastor shared the clip of his sermon, he explained he decided to reference Glo’s lyrics.
“I raaaarely post my own sermon clips because I have issues with Black preaching being turned into commodity, but @GloTheofficial’s music is consistently inspiration and affirming…”
To date, the pastor’s sermon has garnered over two million views on X. Among the viewers was GloRilla herself. Later, on March 5, the rapper retweeted the clip and added some brief words.
“PREACH ! Yeah Glo…”
Additionally, social media users also chimed in in the comment section of her retweet.
Outside of inspiring recent church sermons, GloRilla has also been making headlines. In February, the rapper caused a stir on social media when she let it be known that she had her eye on NBA baller Damian Lillard, per The Shade Room.
At the time, she posted a photo posing alongside him on X, with a brief caption:
“Who n***a dis is ? Cause I want him #GetEmGlo”
Shortly after, the rapper added:
“Whoever she is can’t whoop me so I really dgaf,”
To note, Lillard is currently undergoing divorce proceedings in regard to his two-year marriage with Kay’La Lillard, per The Shade Room.
Later that month, Glo shocked fans again when she revealed that she’s related to a popular Philadelphia-bred rapper.
