GloRilla has shared some major info about her family tree.
The Memphis-bred rapper appeared on an episode of ‘Bottoms Up With Fannita,’ which was published on Monday, February 26, via YouTube. About two and a half minutes into the interview, Glo revealed that she and Soulja Boy share the same birthday.
She went on to reveal that “back in the day,” he was her favorite artist, and she had the “biggest crush” on him.
However, as the conversation continued, Glo would share another more surprising fact about herself amid the mention of Lil Uzi Vert.
“I — that’s my cousin,” the rapper told the host. “Yeah, that’s my real cousin.”
From there, the rapper explained why they have yet to collaborate on music.

To note, as of Wednesday, February 28, it appears that this portion of the interview has been removed from the episode. Multiple outlets, such as HipHopDx and Complex, report that GloRilla made the comment around the video’s 2:55-3:00 minute mark.
However, current footage appears to show a skip or cut in the final edit.
GloRilla’s statements may have been removed following the episode’s premiere. However, this didn’t stop social media users from weighing in with their reactions.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, users shared their surprise at the rapper’s alleged relation to Lil Uzi.
One user even went so far as to call cap on Glo’s statement.
GloRilla’s relation to Lil Uzi Vert may remain unclear to some. However, what may be confirmed is that the pair are indeed working on music together. According to Complex, the pair were recorded in the studio in August 2023.
Outside of GloRilla, another celebrity also went viral after revealing their ties to a rapper from New York. As The Shade Room previously reported, in December 2023, Tracy Morgan revealed that he’s related to Queens-bred rapper Nas.
“Me and Nas is third cousins on my mom’s side,” Morgan explained while appearing on the ‘
Connect The Dots‘ podcast.
From there, Morgan shared how Nas reacted after he shared the news with him.
