Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan are still at it #Roommates, and it doesn’t look like they have any plans to stop coming for each other anytime soon. Gloria Govan isn’t feeling her baby daddy at the moment because she claims he tried to go below the belt and have her served with a $300,000 lawsuit at their custody exchange drop off spot.
According to court documents obtained from @Blast, Gloria claims she wasn’t properly served and said that she didn’t even know she was being sued until after a judge ruled in Matt’s favor because she was a no-show in court. Matt is accusing Gloria, and pretty much her whole family, from her mother to her brother of fraud and claims they “embezzled $300,000 from him.”
Now y’all know Gloria wasn’t about to just go down like that. Gloria filed documents asking for the default order to scrapped because she claims she was never served with the legal papers. What’s interesting about this is that process server said he served her the papers on June 10, 2018, but she claims that’s not how it went down.

She recalls the incident that went down on that date at a Starbucks in Encino, where she was meeting Barnes to exchange custody of their twin boys. Govan says she and Barnes had previously agreed to not bring their various disputes to the custody exchanges, saying it was to be a neutral site and that the twins should not be involved.
On the date in question, Gloria Govan says she remembers having her head down to look at her phone when a man touched her shoulder and said, “I know who you are.”
She told the man to “get the f**k out of my face. I don’t know you.”
Govan explains, “I am a recognized celebrity due to my tenure on the television show ‘Basketball Wives’ and I have individuals follow me, or assume they know me or believe that they have a relationship with me because of my appearance on television. I also have had men inappropriately touch and harass me on innumerable occasions … Therefore, I am especially sensitive to men who invade my space, touch me without consent, or otherwise try to surprise me.”
She claims the man never handed her papers and never identified himself as a process server. She says she does remember looking outside and seeing Barnes and her sons inside his car in front of her.
“It is now obvious to me that Plaintiff Barnes arranged to have me served during our custody exchange,” Govan writes.
Gloria has already reached out to a lawyer and plans on suing Matt for defamation after he accused her of running his name through the mud, forging his signature on important documents, and spending the child support money.
Hopefully, they can get to a happy place eventually. Gloria was arrested last month and hit with a felony child endangerment charge after getting into an argument with Matt at their sons’ school.
That situation caused Matt to get a temporary restraining order against Gloria. She can only see her kids for 4 hours with supervised vision.
