Roommates, has someone ever accidentally sent a text message to you that was meant for someone else? Well, this happened to a student at #GeorgiaSouthernUniversity, however, it included a racial slur and is causing other students to demand the school to take action.
Twitter user @J.Tizzlle shared screenshots of text messages between his friend and her new roommate whom we will call Kim. The two ladies were getting acquainted with each other, but then the roommate slipped up and sent a message which read, “Her insta looks pretty normal not too n*ggerish.”
Quickly, the girl changed her narrative and said, “OMG I am so sorry! Damn spell check I did NOT mean to say that. I was texting ***** and I meant to say triggerish meaning like you seemed really cool nothing that triggered a red flag! I’m so embarrassed I apologize.” Now, sis, Twitter is already eating this girl up, because when you type “triggerish” it autocorrects to “triggerfish” ????
Anyway, Georgia Southern University President Shelley C. Nickel has since issued a statement saying that there is “no place for bigotry or racism” on campus although it is unclear what kind of disciplinary action was taken on the student.
