#Roommates, following the arrest of Gregory McMichael and his son Travis McMichael for the tragic murder of Ahmuad Arbery, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation recently gave an update about what’s to come. The GBI made it clear in a recent press conference that additional arrests could very well be possible, including the person who recorded the video of the shooting that went viral.
@AJC reports, during a press conference addressing local media outlets, Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Vic Reynolds told reporters that despite Gregory McMichael and Travis McMichael being arrested for Ahmaud Arbery’s murder, another arrest could be forthcoming, specifically for the individual who recorded the now-viral video. Additionally, Reynolds also noted that by statute, the GBI’s involvement in a local case must be requested and declined to comment on how other agencies have handled the case prior to the two arrests that were made.
Reynolds confirmed that the person who recorded the video has been identified as William Bryan, who reportedly helped Gregory and Travis pursue Arbery as he ran through the Satilla Shores community just south of Brunswick, Georgia. “We’re investigating everyone involved in the case, including the individual who shot the video,” he said.
Reynolds further acknowledged the criticism that arrests should have been made back in February when Arbery’s death initially occurred, saying “In a perfect world would we have liked to have been involved in February? Of course. But it’s not a perfect world.”
As we previously reported, Travis and Greg McMichael were arrested earlier this week at their homes just outside of Brunswick. They were then booked into the Glynn County Jail on charges of felony murder and aggravated assault, following a two-month investigation for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery, who was out jogging at the time.
