Since welcoming her daughter Kaavia, Gabrielle Union has been snapping family photos at rapid speed and posting them online for her legion of fans and followers. However, one recent picture brought out some very harsh comments that caused her to respond.
Earlier this week, former NBA star Dwyane Wade posted a snapshot of his wife Gabrielle Union, their daughter Kaavia and Wade’s son Zaire to his Instagram stories. It wasn’t the photo itself that garnered the harsh reaction, but instead the caption, which read, “My Girls.” The photo quickly spread online and as expected, Gabby got wind of all the negativity surrounding it.
When a Twitter user posted the photo to their account with the question, “what ya’ll think about this?” Gabrielle responded with the following comment:
“Looks like love to me. I truly hope that everyone gets the love, support and hugs they deserve. Also, Kaav ain’t with the dumb s**t. Peace & Blessings good people.”
10-year-old Zaire previously attended a Pride parade last year and both Dwyane and Gabrielle were there with him along with his other siblings. Although it hasn’t been formerly stated, the young boy likely identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community.
Obviously, kids are off limits, but that doesn’t stop tons of online trolls from offering their opinion on children who aren’t theirs. We want to applaud Gabrielle and Dwyane for continuing to support their son despite the contrasting opinions of outsiders.
Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
