TSR Exclusive: Just days after celebrating his baby shower, G Herbo was back in court after the U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts filed another charge against him, this time for allegedly lying to a federal agent about his relationship with one of his alleged co-conspirators in a federal fraud case.
The Shade Room has obtained federal docs that show Herb is being accused of providing false statements during an interview with the Bureau of Investigation.
“Herbert Wright III, a/k/a ‘Herb,’ ‘Lil Herb,’ ‘G Herbo,’ and ‘Herbert Light,’ knowingly and willfully made the following materially false, fictitious and fraudulent statements and representations in a matter within the jurisdiction of the executive branch of the Government of the United States, that is, during a voluntary interview with a special agent of the United States Secret Service and a special agent of the (FBI),” the docs read.
Prosecutors are specifically accusing Herb of lying about never working with or being assisted by Antonio Strong, who in actuality is believed to be one of Herb’s good friends and business partners.
Prosecutors say Herb also told the FBI he never provided Strong any money and he never received anything of value from him. Herb also allegedly denied he had any direct relationship with Strong.
“In truth and in fact, as the defendant knew: (a) since at least 2016, Strong worked with and assisted him; (b) he provided Strong money; (c) he received things of value from Strong, including private jet charters, luxury accommodations, and exotic car rentals; and (d) he had frequent direct contact with Strong, including telephone conversations, text messages, and Instagram direct messages,” the docs read.
Because this is connected to G Herbo’s fraud case, there is a motion to just connect this charge to the original case, and Herb signed a document that says he’s on board with the move.
G Herbo, Strong, and five others were arrested in 2020 for their alleged involvement in a fraud ring in which they were accused of using stolen credit cards and identifications to live a lavish lifestyle.
Right now, prosecutors are in the process of pouring through evidence on multiple devices that were seized from the defendants. They’re all expected to return to court in August.
