Last week, Rolling Stone featured rapper Future for their cover story where he gave insight on his music career, being afraid of how marriage would affect his career, and how his children motivate him to get it everyday.
The publication’s writer spent the day with the rapper and during a trip to the mall, he spilled a little tea regarding a particular transaction Future made at a Chanel store.
“During his trip to the mall, he stops in a Chanel store and drops a couple of thousand for a purse, recipient unspecified,” Brian Hiatt noted. “When his credit card is declined, he takes out an Instagram-ready wad of cash.” Oop!
Now, before you guys jump to conclusions and accuse the rapper of being broke, oftentimes, your bank will decline transactions when you’re out of town and/or spending a large sum of money just to make sure that there’s no fraud taking place. I mean, later on in the interview, Future explains that everything he’s doing is really, “…for stability for my kids.”
