Funny Marco recently took to social media to share why he canceled the ‘Open Thoughts vs Really Good Podcast Tour’ with Bobbi Althoff.
He gave his fellow innanet comedian her props. However, he also stated that her stage presence was lacking, and her reserved comedic style did not work in a live format.
Marco was transparent when explaining why he axed the comedy tour with Althoff. As he stood near a pool, he admitted that he was “learning how to entertain a crowd.” The funny man stated that live shows differ from online content. He said, “People want the energy,” and “Bobbi was stiff…”
Marco said that he would attempt to engage Bobbi in conversation on stage, but she wouldn’t really speak, which made the interactions difficult for him. He said that he wanted to “work on” their act and even “paid scriptwriters” to develop an entertaining show. However, Althoff was resistant.
She allegedly told Marco, “That’s not me. My comedy is me not talking a lot.” He didn’t agree, stating, “You can do that on the podcast, but this is different.”
Marco said that he wasn’t upset with Bobbi’s stance, but he “can’t agree with it.” He added that Bobbi “isn’t wrong for how [she] feels.” However, when people spend money to see a great show, he is committed to providing that. Since Bobbi was unwilling to change, he had to give baby girl the boot.
Commenters under The Shade Room’s Instagram report weighed in on Marco’s admission.
@jeremy.evans831 said, “think this the first time i heard him talk in a serious manner lmao.”
“he just called her unseasoned in the nicest way possible,” @meowcle quipped.
Bobbi has not responded to Marco’s statements on their tour ending.
