Four women and former ‘Joseline’s Cabaret’ dancers want their lick back, for a situation they say escalated to assault and battery. The ladies filed a lawsuit against reality TV star Joseline Hernandez for an altercation that happened while filming the show’s reunion episode in March. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the women hope to collect a $25 million payout for the encounter.
Lawsuit Claims Planned Attack Against ‘Joseline’s Cabaret’ Cast
Per the records, the dancers believe Joseline ambushed them during the taping. Apparently, the dancers said they showed up in heels to the reunion, whereas Joseline wore hard-bottom boots. Then, all hell broke loose: kicks, hair-pulling, shoving and threats–and the women say that all came from Joseline.
In March, The Shade Room reported on this very incident. At the time, cast member Amber Ali went live on Instagram with her story. Speaking from a hospital bed, Amber revealed she sought emergency care after Joseline “kicked” her, causing bruises on her ribs. She also said Joseline’s fiancé Ballistic joined the fight and “ripped [her] hair off [her] head.” Amber later made her intentions to press charges clear during an additional Instagram Live after she was released from the hospital.
“I get I knocked your b*tch out, but yo b*tch is steady rushing me, steady attacking, just kicked the sh*t out of me. When Joseline kicked me, Ballistic like, ‘Yeah Amber you gon keep running up and she gon keep doing it to yo a**, she gon drop-kick again.’”
Joseline Hernandez’s Past Tweets Reflect Lawsuit Claims
Not long after Amber’s accusations received heavy online play, Joseline hopped on Twitter seemingly confirming the incident. But, instead of apologies in her acknowledge, Joseline seemingly described the altercation with little remorse.
“I mortal kombat one h*e, pimp slapped another one,” Joseline tweeted. “Pushed one into last night’s episode. Kicked down a few on the ground. I slapped fire out of everyone on that stage. Me n my crew wait for it.”
Joseline And Ballistic Release Joint Statement Disputing Claims
Then, following a statement by the show’s network Zeus condemning bullying and violence, Joseline released a joint statement with Ballistic. And her tone in the release gave a ‘I spoke to my lawyer’ type-of vibe– a total 360 from her initial tweets.
“We are deeply saddened by the accusations made against our family at the Joseline’s Cabaret Reunion. Joseline is the mother of a five-year old girl and would never take any action to jeopardize her family,” the statement read. “Joseline’s Cabaret was created on the foundation of female empowerment. One of our programs corse values is supporting women, not breaking them down.”
Later in the statement, the couple agreed with Zeus‘ message against “bullying, unprovoked violence and men attacking women.” But, they denied those “themes” were in any way related to the reunion show altercation. The statement assured readers of existing “footage of the events” that will make their position “obvious.”
Law Firm Previously Confirmed Lawsuit Plans
Amber responded to Joseline’s statement with one of own–written by her legal team. Her team described the incident at the show’s taping as “horrific, unacceptable, and far removed from any notion of female empowerment.” Later, the statement also blasted Zeus Network saying they should “ensure the safety and security of its cast members.”
About a week after Amber’s initial testimony, The Shade Room reported exclusive details on a bubbling lawsuit against Joseline and Ballistic. Amber and additional cast members, Re Re O’Dell, Lexi Blow and Henny, collectively hired a legal team at Adeife & Rabii for their suit. Initially, the women were seeking up to 30 million.
TMZ‘s report did not name the women who filed the suit against Joseline or whether Ballistic and Zeus Network are also named.
This is a developing story.
