Roommates, as the year 2020 comes to an end, it is becoming more of a reality that the United States will spend a lot more time in this pandemic. Based on polls and general responses on social media, it is apparent that many Americans are skeptical about the COVID-19 vaccine being developed and Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton are dedicated to making y’all believers.
According to CNBC, the three former Presidents have agreed not only to take the vaccine when it is approved, but to do so on camera or in a public setting to help build confidence in its ability to cure the virus. Barack Obama made his declaration on Sirius XM’s “The Joe Madison Show”.
“I will be taking it, and I may take it on TV or have it filmed so people know that I trust this science,” our Forever President said. “What I don’t trust is getting COVID.”
Former President Bush seems to be taking a similar stance to Obama, as his aide told NBC News that he too will help n building public confidence in the vaccine.
“First, the vaccines need to be deemed safe and administered to the priority populations. Then, President Bush will get in line for his, and will gladly do so on camera,” Freddy Ford said.
A spokesperson for Bill Clinton said he “will definitely take a vaccine as soon as available to him, based on the priorities determined by public health officials. And he will do it ini a public setting if it will help urge all Americans to do the same.”
Recent polls show that more than half of Americans are unsure about getting a COVID-19 vaccination, and people of color make up a disproportionate amount of those numbers, according to a poll by Gallup.
