Former NBA star and current member of the Israeli Premier League, Amar’e Stoudemire, has caused quite the commotion with his response to a question about having a gay teammate in the locker room.
Stoudemire, told Walla Sport: “I’m going to shower across the street. I’m going to make sure my change of clothes are around the corner, and I’m going to take a different route to the gym.”
He was asked if he was joking, and he said, “I mean, there’s always a truth within a joke.”
Other members of his team said they wouldn’t have an issue with having a gay teammate in the locker room.
