Former member of Da Band and cast member of Making Da Band, Sara Stokes, is suing BET for tarnishing her image.
Sara Stokes is claiming that a production company came to her wanting her to be on a show produced by Queen Latifah. The show “From the Bottom Up” was supposed to chronicle her life and hopefully be the means of a comeback after things got bad when she was taken into jail for domestic violence against her husband. Sara didn’t get what she wanted at all, instead of a chance for some positive light, Stokes is saying that the she was trashed on the BET show.
She says that the show referred to her as a man beater and now wants to get revenge for the damage to her image the show has done. Her legal team is planning to sue BET for damages done.
We hope that Sara Stokes gets this all worked out but at this point chances for a comeback are looking slim.
