What’s it going to take #Roommates? Last week 17 students and teachers were gunned down at a Florida High school, and one would think that lawmakers would want to consider a ban on semi-automatic weapons? Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case when the state legislature voted 71-36 on the measure Tuesday!
According to CNN, what’s the most shocking about all of this is that they declared pornography to be a public risk!
What’s probably not surprising is that almost all 71 lawmakers who voted against the proposed measure have “A” rating from the National Rifle Association.
This decision has been met with heavy criticism, especially from students from Stoneman Douglas High School who traveled up to the State Capital waiting to talk with legislators.
“Our message is at this point, for the politicians: If you’re not with us, you’re against us,” Stoneman Douglas student Chris Grady said. “We’re trying to save the lives of innocent children.”
