Flo Milli had social media gagging over her performance for NPR’s ‘Tiny Desk Concert.’
Flo Milli made her debut on the live series with a set that featured her expanding catalog of hits, including her self-affirmation anthem, ‘Conceited’ and her single, ‘Bed Time.’
According to RapUp, the Alabama rapper performed with Atlanta’s Band of Brothers and her backing vocalists, whom she affectionately named the Floettes.
Rolling Stone reports that Milli ended her set with a stripped-back acoustic rendition of her chart-topping hit, ‘Never Lose Me,’ from her latest album, ‘Fine Ho, Stay.’ The outlet also disclosed that Flo updated the record with an additional verse that is not present in the original song. Her ‘Tiny Desk’ set also represented her first performance with a live band.
Milli’s ‘Tiny Desk’ concert coincides with Black Music Month, a time when NPR is spotlighting nine Black women in music. Furthermore, Rolling Stone also revealed that the ‘Understand’ musician’s appearance comes after performances by Tems, Lackecia Benjamin, Tierra Whack, Chaka Khan, Kierra Sheard, and Brittney Spencer.
The Roomies quickly reacted to Flo Milli’s ‘Tiny Desk Concert’ in The Shade Room comment section. Many social media users praised her flawless performance, noting that she sounded exactly like her records.
