Roommates, get into this story! There has been a lot of chatter about who should play Aretha Franklin in a biopic, and the conversation got a little too heated in a barbershop in Virginia that left one man shot.
According to WTKR, witnesses told News 3’s Rachel Cardin that they saw two men arguing inside a barbershop over whether or not Halle Berry should play Aretha in a movie.
Authorities said the conversation escalated and they ended up getting into a physical altercation, which led to one of the suspects, Michael Jermell Hatton, 44, pulling out a gun and shooting the other man.
The victim was taken to the local hospital for treatment.
Michael was arrested and is currently being held at Western Tidewater Regional Jail without bond.
