#Roomies, you may have to find another dollar store for granny ‘cause the FDA found a few rodents during an inspection at a Family Dollar facility, CNN reports.
Last week, the company issued a voluntary recall after a FDA inspection uncovered a rodent infestation at an Arkansas facility.
The recall was for “various products purchased within the last year from Family Dollar Stores across six states may be contaminated and unsafe to use.”Items ranging from medication to pet food were listed among the recall.
The news release also stated that the various products were sold at “hundreds of stores” in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee.
Family Dollar also stated it’s not aware of any consumer complaints at the moment. “Family Dollar is notifying its affected stores by letter asking them to check their stock immediately and to quarantine and discontinue the sale of any affected product. Customers that may have bought affected product may return such product to the Family Dollar store where they were purchased without receipt,” the company said.
Some stores were also closed, according to CNN. “We take situations like this very seriously and are committed to providing safe and quality products to our customers. We have been fully cooperating with all regulatory agencies in the resolution of this matter and are in the process of remediating the issue,” according to spokesperson Kayleigh Campbell.
Roomies, how y’all feel ’bout this?
