Whew! A Denver mother recently went viral after she expressed her frustrations with her daughter’s step mother purchasing her a graduation dress without her knowledge. In the one minute clip, Enitza Templeton explained that when she showed up at her daughter’s ceremony, her baby girl was wearing a dress she hadn’t seen before. Enitza’s video garnered lots of backlash, and we got the tea on what really went down!
Despite many peoples’ perception of the situation, Enitza tells The Shade Room that she did buy her daughter a graduation dress, but says her daughter accidentally left the dress at home when she was dropped off at her dad’s house prior to the ceremony. Enitza claims that instead of contacting her about the dress, her ex-husband’s girlfriend took her daughter shopping for a new one.
Is this overstepping? The step mom got the daughter a graduation dress the day before the event. The step mom said the lil girl asked and she took her. pic.twitter.com/H4UEiAIFsf

According to Enitza, her relationship with her daughter’s stepmother Luz is a tumultuous one. In fact, Enitza claims that she has never met the woman, despite inviting her to family functions and holidays, and sending her gifts. The mother of four told us she only posted the video because Lisa has “overstepped her place several times” and her issue was “being excluded from a special moment” with her daughter. She even alleges she once had to call the cops to retrieve her kids from Lisa’s care.
“When my ex was arrested for stalking me and the kids were in his custody, she refused to give me my kids and I had to call the cops. This woman has overstepped her place several times and I’m over it.”
As for Enitza’s ex-husband Joe, she says he was unable to attend their daughter’s graduation due to a trespassing warrant that prohibits him from being on school grounds. Additionally, Enitza alleges Joe is being investigated by CPS and has landed their kids in truancy status for failure to take them to school.
“I actively try to co-parent with my ex and his partner. I invite them to every holiday or party we have going on so the kids can have what’s best. They always decline. He is actively being investigated by child protective services for a few issues and our kids are currently in truancy status because he refuses to bring them to school.”
Joe Templeton has not responded to our request for a statement at this time.
