About five months after news broke regarding Eva Marcille filing to divorce Michael Sterling, new reports suggest that the matter has been said, done, and finalized — and the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum allegedly turned down all forms of support.
According to Radar Online, the matter was settled earlier this month, and the pair waived their respective rights to spousal support.
Furthermore, Eva reportedly didn’t seek child support from Michael in the settlement. Both parents will “support the children in their respective homes.”
“The parties agree that each has ample income and assets to support the children in their respective homes. Accordingly, the parties agree that neither shall pay direct child support to the other.”
It’s also worth noting that Eva was allegedly awarded the family home and all its furniture. Michael is reported to have “removed any personal property” of his.
Regarding the custody agreement, Radar Online reports that the matter was privately settled.
Eva Marcille and Michael Sterling tied the knot in October 2018, so this development comes just ahead of them reaching five years of marriage.
As The Shade Room reported, news of Eva and Michael’s split came earlier this year.
In court docs filed through the Superior Court of Fulton County on Mar. 23, Eva Marcille called the union “irretrievably broken.”
In the wake of Eva’s filing, theJasmineBRAND reported that Michael Sterling declared, “I am not going to lose my wife.”
“I am not going to lose my wife. I am going to fight for her with every fiber in my being. I love her and I plan to show her how much I love her and that our love is strong enough to get to the other side.”
The following month, Michael’s divorce attorney, Kristal Holmes, told theJamineBRAND that Sterling was still committed to “saving his marriage.”
“Michael Sterling’s focus, attention and priority remains [on] his family and saving his marriage to his wife, Eva Sterling. As an experienced lawyer, however, Michael understands the legal requirement that he is obligated to respond to the divorce petition in a court of law.”
Neither Eva nor Michael appear to have publicly commented on the reported divorce finalization. However, rest assured that Eva continues to do her thang by celebrating positivity and wisdom on Instagram.
