The Shade Room has obtained court documents confirming that reality TV star Eva Marcille, 38, has filed for divorce from her husband, Michael Sterling, 41. The couple has been married for five years and shares two children.
According to the court documents filed on March 23, 2023, in the Superior Court of Fulton County, Eva cited the marriage as being “irretrievably broken” and declared that there was no possibility of reconciliation.
Marcille’s divorce petition includes details about the couple’s living arrangements and custody of their children.
The documents state that the couple’s children have been living with both Eva and Michael at the marital residence located in Alpharetta, Georgia for at least five years.
Eva, in her petition, asserts that she is a “fit and proper person” to have legal and primary physical custody of the children, with final decision-making authority over all issues—requesting primary custody be granted permanently.
In addition, Eva has requested that child support be ordered in accordance with Georgia law on a temporary and permanent basis.
One month and a few days before Eva filed for divorce from her husband, Michael, the couple appeared to be going strong and happy.
On Valentine’s Day, the wife posted a photo on her Instagram account with her husband, captioning the moment: “Happy Valentine’s Day forever and ever @miketsterling.”
Michael shared his own tribute to Eva on Instagram, calling her his “forever valentine.”
