I think it’s pretty much safe to say that El Chapo has zero tolerance for what he considers to be disrespect. The suspected drug lord allegedly had a cartel leader’s brother killed over a handshake diss!
According to Daily News, that diss triggered a turf war between the Sinaloa and Juarez enterprises, witness Jesus Reynaldo (El Rey) Zambada Garcia told jurors during Chapo’s drug trafficking trial in Brooklyn.
El Chapo felt some type of way after his meeting with Rodolfo Carrillo Fuentes back in 2004. Rodolfo was the brother of Vicente Carrillo Fuentes, who ran the Juarez cartel.
“When [Rodolfo] left, Chapo gave him his hand and said, ‘See you later, friend,’ and Rodolfo just left him standing there with his hand extended,” Jesus said to the jurors.
“Chapo was really mad,” he continued.
A few weeks later, Rodolfo was shot and killed while leaving the movies.
“When he was coming out of the movies. He was coming out with his family, his wife and his children,” Jesus testified. “Rodolfo Carrillo died, his wife did, too, and (a judicial police) commander was seriously injured but survived afterwards.”
Vicente allegedly had El Chapo’s little brother killed in prison after the attack, sparking the intense war between the
Sinaloa and Juarez cartels.
